AlertFlow, Inc. (“AlertFlow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the AlertFlow platform (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not access the Service.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account registration information (name, email address, company name)
  • Billing and payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
  • Content you create (alert workflows, on-call schedules, integration configurations)
  • Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback)

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visits)
  • Device information (operating system, device identifiers)
  • Alert payload data sent to the Service by integrated tools
  • Usage data (features used, actions taken within the application)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining the Service
  • Processing payments and managing your subscription
  • Sending transactional communications (receipts, password resets, service notifications)
  • Sending product updates and marketing emails (you may opt out at any time)
  • Improving the Service through usage analysis
  • Detecting, preventing, and addressing technical issues and abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service providers

We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting (DigitalOcean), payment processing (Stripe), authentication (Clerk), email delivery (SendGrid), SMS/voice (Twilio), and error monitoring (Sentry). Each provider is bound by data processing agreements.

4.2 Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AlertFlow, our users, or others.

4.3 Business transfers

If AlertFlow is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Alert data is retained according to your plan (7 days on Starter, 30 days on Growth, 90 days on Pro, unlimited on Enterprise). After account deletion, we retain data for 90 days before permanent deletion.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
